Alan S. Weiner

Bio

Alan S. Weiner is based in Portland, Oregon and Atlanta. He worked for the New York Times as a contract photographer for over 20 years. He has covered major world and national events from the first democratic election in Russia to the first launch of the space shuttle after the Challenger explosion. He also covered the Atlanta Olympics in 1996 as part of the New York Times team. His pictures have also appeared in multiple publications while covering 6 presidential elections in the US. In addition to The New York Times, his pictures have appeared in People, Time, Newsweek, USA Today and Life magazine.

Alan has been photographing weddings for 15 years. He began by shooting weddings for and with the renowned father of wedding photojournalism Denis Reggie. While photojournalism is his passion, he has also been hired to do corporate work by Frito Lay to photograph behind the scenes at the filming of several Super Bowl commercials and by IBM and Pepsi to document their offices in South America and Europe.

Alan is a skilled veteran photojournalist who understands how to capture the joyous emotions of a wedding as well as the quiet, telling moments that always add a layer of depth to the story of the day.

Alan jumped right into our big crazy family wedding and didn’t miss a shot. His background as a photojournalist really made all the difference. We also appreciated the Wedding Bureau’s willingness to share the digital images with us.

Wonderful! We so enjoyed working with Alan, we felt as though we had a good friend take our photos. They capture the day perfectly and tell our story. He helped make our wedding a wonderful experience. We highly recommend the Wedding Bureau. The quality of the photographs and the professionalism and personal service we received, will last in a lifetime of wonderful memories.

I was so thrilled with the results, I cried the first time I saw the proofs.
-Michelle

I really just can't say enough about how fabulous our wedding photos are... and also our rehearsal evening photos. We love the color and black-and-white mix... the color photos are vibrant, and the black-and-white are timeless... What we love the most about the albums is that they capture the whole spirit of the weekend...

And not only the results were fabulous, but so was the process... you were fun and easygoing, yet managed to get everyone in the right place at the right time... you were a wonderful part of our wedding. -Debbie
