Michele McDonald, The Wedding Bureau photographer covering New England, is a freelance photojournalist based in Boston. She is a former staff photographer of the Boston Globe and Virginian-Pilot Ledger-Star. She is a frequent lecturer and exhibitor. She was a finalist for both the Robert F. Kennedy Photojournalism Award and the Pulitzer Prize and was awarded the prestigious Nieman Fellowship from Harvard University.

Dear Michele,

I just wanted to write and tell you that Lane and I received our wedding photographs a few days ago, and we are thrilled with them! I cannot believe all of the places that you managed to be at once, and how many different emotions you picked up with your camera. We enjoyed working with you so much, and silly as it may sound, really felt like you became a part of our families that day! We are so grateful to you for sharing your talent with us, and for capturing the day so beautifully, and for staying so late to get the departure photos before you had a very long drive home.

Porter Gifford is an accomplished photojournalist covering the New England region for the Wedding Bureau. After graduation from Harvard University, Porter journeyed from Cape Town to Cairo documenting life on the African continent.

During his fourteen-year career, Porter has produced insightful photo essays around the globe for leading publications such as Business Week, The New York Times Magazine, Time, Life, U.S. News & World Report, and People.

Jodi’s work has taken her to Honduras for the French magazine Marianne and to Aliano, Italy for a story on a peasant village that ran in National Geographic, Italy. Jodi holds a Masters in Journalism from the University of Missouri. We are proud to represent Jodi to photograph weddings.
